Commercial Recycling

For every pound of waste you reduce, reuse, or recycle, you will save on waste disposal costs, protect the environment, save energy and natural resources, conserve landfill space, and reaffirm your company's support for environmental programs.

CCCSWA offers a custom waste prevention and recycling assessment to help your business. For more information, please call the Recycling Specialist at (925) 906-1807.

To help businesses recycle, the CCCSWA has established a permit system for haulers who collect commercial recyclables. You can choose the best commercial recycler for your business from a list of current permitted commercial recyclers. You may want to contact your landlord or property manager before contracting for recycling services on your own.

Businesses can recycle:

  • newspapers

  • glass bottlesRecycle at the office

  • aluminum (scrap and cans)

  • junk mail

  • white and mixed paper

  • chip and cardboard

  • tin

  • plastics

  • magazines

  • telephone books

  • wood

  • tires

  • scrap metals - ferrous and non-ferrous

  • carpet padding

Although commercial recycling is currently voluntary, the economics of recycling and its cost savings to your business should provide an additional incentive.
