Mini-Grant Program

Program History
The CCCSWA sponsors a wide variety of
programs in the areas of waste prevention, recycling, composting, offers
technical assistance and provides public information and education to
its residents and businesses.
In 1999, the CCCSWA developed the mini-grant program to complement its
current and planned activities to aid its member agencies in achieving
the State-mandated 50% landfill diversion goal by the year 2000 and
beyond.
Application Process
The CCCSWA seeks innovative projects that will
increase individual and community involvement in waste prevention
efforts, decrease the amount of waste sent to landfills, and encourage
the development, marketing and use of recycled products in the CCCSWA
service area (for a service area map, please go to
www.wastediversion.org/service.htm).
The CCCSWA allocates $50,000 each fiscal year for the Mini-grant Program
and grants individual awards ranging from $250 to $10,000.
The application process occurs once a year,
unfortunately for FY 2008, we did not
receive funding for this program.
