Mini-Grant Program
2002 Recipients

The following received CCCSWA Mini-grants in 2002 to help fund innovative projects that will increase individual and community involvement in waste prevention efforts, decrease the amount of waste sent to landfills, and encourage the development, marketing and use of recycled products. Congratulations!

  2. GarageTech received $2,400 to remanufacture 20 computer systems from discarded computers at the CCCSWA's Danville E-waste collection event for donation to Contra Costa's Living Skills Program.

  3. Lafayette Elementary School was awarded $475.00 and three Biostack composting bins for completion of the school's wildlife habitat composting program.

  4. Moraga Garden's was awarded $5,000 to expand its Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that collects woodchips, newspapers, coffee grounds, spoiled straw and food waste from local businesses for composting, distributing finished compost and garden grown items to CSA members.
