Mini-Grant Program 
2007 Recipients

The following received CCCSWA Mini-grants in 2007 to help fund innovative projects that will increase individual and community involvement in waste prevention efforts, decrease the amount of waste sent to landfills, and encourage the development, marketing and use of recycled products. Congratulations!

  1. Acalanes High School was awarded $1,485 to purchase four composting bins. These bins will be part of their school-wide composting program.

  2. Earth Team received $10,000 to produce two segments of an educational TV newsmagazine hosted and produced by students about environmental issues. The two segments will be shown in local classrooms and on local cable channels.

  3. East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse was awarded $5,000 for the outreach for, and collection of, commercial/industrial materials for reuse by nonprofit organizations.

  4. Pacific Rim Recycling received $10,000 for outreach and education in CCCSWA's service area for increasing quantities of curbside recycling, while decreasing contamination.

  5. Project Green/St. Mary's College was awarded $8,650 to purchase indoor recycling containers for the dorms at St. Mary's College.

  6. Ruth Bancroft Garden received $4,500 for the purchasing of outdoor recycling containers. These containers will be placed and used throughout the garden.
